Went to my local gun shop to re-scope my Marlin 57M 22mag. The 50 year old Weaver just wasn't cutting it. Was undecided on what I would purchase but was willing to spend $150-$200. Currently have multiple scopes from Leupold, Bushnell, and Burris but with my budget I was thinking I would more than likely end up with a cheaper Bushnell.

I didn't take me long to decide what scope I wanted because on the top of the gun counter was a Burris Fullfield II for $175 and it came with a free Burris Rimfire. I already have the exact scope on a Remington 700 in 243 that I'm very pleased with...think I paid $275 for it.

Is the going price for the Fullfield II $175 since the E1's came out, or did I just get a good deal?

There was a deal offered to merchants for the scope/bipod combo and it was cheap because of the volume. One merchant in QC told me he purchased a Full Container Load. He is still selling them ~179$ at his store.

IMHO you got a good scope at a good deal. I bought 2 Burris Fullfield scopes this winter, am really impressed with them for the prices I paid.
On another note am not impressed with a 1000.00 Leupold scope I just bought.

I paid $200 a number of years ago during a store sale. Considering the E1 I would say the price is right for a sale item.

The main thing with the E1 is that the reticle is etched and not wire like the Fullfield II. Reticle added in windage to the BP reticle as well. If the same price I would go for the E1 but the Fullfield II at current prices is one heck of a deal for a surprisingly nice scope. I can't get over the glass quality for the price.

Where did you purchase that?
