Burris Fullfield II vs Veracity (Glass quality difference)?

Wish I could look through a Veracity to see the difference... so few optics in stock around here.

Problem with a quick look in the store is that your eyes may fool you.
As I said earlier often good glass isn't so apparent until conditions are lousy..
On a clear day a 100.0 dollar tasco can get the job done. Have a dark lousy overcast morning at first legal shooting time and then you need all you can get.. FFP and side focus are awesome tools . Mechanics of the Veracity are really solid.. .. When my Varmint hunting buddy had a look thru mine he wound up getting 2 as well!!.
Long time Leupold users both of us.. Switched both of us to Burris.... and Steiner Binos..

I need new shooting glasses as well... just can't see that well out of the ones I have. Having 7x magnification on my eyeglasses makes using a scope with magnification that much more difficult.

I have noticed a difference in the cheaper scope I have, outdoor lighting - no problem. Shooting indoors in poor lighting, it's pretty blurry.

What's the veracity going for ? $850+ txs?
There's a Bushnell 4-12 LRHS on the EE for $1125. Retail is $1500. It's twice the scope and the clarity is amazing. Clarity is so much better than the veracity,that it'll make up for the less mag range. ( it's FFP as well).

A little north of that now. In general the list price for the 2-10X42 is just on a grand, add an extra hundred when you move up to the 3-15 and 4-20.

You may find slightly better prices on old stock bought when the buck was at par if you do some looking. They did take a huge price jump the middle of 2015. Until then the 2-10's were selling for just on 600 bucks which was when I bought a pair of them once I saw the price was set to skyrocket...

I take it ,you work in the firearm industry? Have a Bushnell LRHS crossed your path ? If so ,what do you think of it?

I'm sorry if I'm offending anyone, but I found the glass in the veracity,about the same as the sightron stac 3-16 and the Bushnell elite 6500 ,all mediocre,at best.

I guess I really noticed this when I got my LRHS and SHV.
I do agree that $1500 is a lot,to spend on a hunting scope ,but if OP is looking at $900 + txs = $1000 + for a Veracity. He'd be way ahead with the LRHS , for $1125.

I had a Bushnell 3-9. It came with a small pen light,you shine it in the front lens and the reticle would light up.Awesome little scope.
I was diving on the old railbed, just starting to break daylight,and there was a small layer of fog down.
Could easily see a moose that was a 100 or so yards away...great hunting scope...
