Hey all.

I have a EGW 0 MOA rail for my REM SPS Tactical upon which will be placed a Vortex 4-16x50 HS scope. Im looking to order the Burris XTR 30mm rings to hold it in place. Question is what height rings to use, low, medium or high to retain a low profile to the barrel? Does anyone have experience with this set up?

Cheers.

My .223 with 20moa rail and x60 Sightron uses x-high Burris.
My .308 with 20moa rail and x50 Bushnell uses high Burris.
Both guns are Rem 700, if I had a flat rail I'd try med rings in the .308
Since I haven't really answered your Q, I suggest you pm Jerry at Mystic Precision, he should have better info.
Good luck

I used Burris XTR rings on 2 different Rem 700's using one piece rails.

With a 40mm abj 1in scope I used low rings and it was perfect...was as low as possible.

With a 50mm obj 30mm scope I used med rings and they also fit well with plenty of clearance.

Perfect, just what I needed to know!

Cheers!

Would the Low rings have given enough clearance for the 50mm obj, or are the Mediums the only option here?
