burris signature rings, tight enough?

compare with traditional rings, are thoes plastic inserts able to hold scopes tight?

will there be any movement of scope on a heavy recoil rifle?

They work great , and grab that scope tight, no worries, de grease the scope and inserts first.

i have never used the burris but have used optilocks. these also have the plastic inset. mine are on a light 300wsm and have never moved or slipped in several hundred rounds.

IMO they 'grip' better than steel rings.

plastic inserts on the SAKO rings atop my .375H&H. scope has never moved.

Usually, because it's a malleable material it 'forms" to the metal tube of the scope, and gives you closer to 100% friction, which you won't get from metal without a fair amount of work. - dan
