Broke my Burris e1 today. No longer tracks. Will call them and try to find out where to send it. Any of you ever have to send something in for repair? How did it go?

Have to send it to stoeger and they send it to Burris USA. Said 4-6 weeks turn around. Will update once it's back. I know lots of folks got this scope with the tikka/a7 combo. I like the scope, it just shouldn't break shooting 44 cowboy loads from a 1894...

Sometimes a scope gets finicky and needs to have the turnets twisted all the way to the end of the adjustment cycle. It's better to do this in both directions to the end of the adjustment cycle. This should be done for up and down and left and right. Count the clicks and go half way on both knobs. Then try some shots out and see if it can be zeroed... If this doesn't work send it back.

Thanks for the tip and I did rotate both windage and elevation all the way from top to bottom and the reticle didn't move at all.

The first time I used Burris warranty (maybe 7 or so years ago) I dealt with Burris in the states direct and I was very happy with the service and results.
Now, dealing with Stoeger Canada I sent in a scope for warranty which my tracking shows they recieved on March 15th and as yet todate with two follow up emails sent and two phone calls made to their service dept to a Mr Shane O. (only getting an answering machine) I haven't recieved any response from stoege Canada at all.
I'm hoping the end result will be properly functioning scope but so far it seems that I'm just being ignored.

Well if this happens 3 weeks before you go deer hunting you won't get it back in time. Vortex is asap. Your call. I will be selling my E1 when it comes back. Not impressed with it breaking from 44 mag cowboy loads or how long it's taking to get it back.

UPDATE:

I have called and emailed both Stoeger and Burris repeatedly and Stoeger won't return my inquiries and Burris says to contact Stoeger as they deal with Canadian issues. Going on 13 weeks now and this is the off season. Not hunting season or "busy" time for them. I will never buy another Burris product.
