Burris warranty work ?

#1 I HATE LeBarons lol, though sometimes I just have no choice.
#2 I got a fantastic deal on a new one from a CGN member, much much cheaper than I could have gotten here.

I like my FFII much better than my Bushy 3200.

I've got a Signature and a Fullfield both in 3-9x. The FF is on my A-bolt and the Signature is on my Stevens. I'd rather buy a Burris than a Bushnell any day.

What was the turn around time?

Turn around was not good (5 weeks), I phoned after 3 weeks and inquired about a time line and was told it was in the system, but do to a busy service department they were about 2-3 weeks behind. They did ask me if I needed it for a hunt and I told them no and was in no hurry so maybe that had something to do with it taking longer. (first time 2 weeks)

I sent mine to Ontario yesterday. Hoping to have it back for December to put back on my shotgun. Also, I hope they are able to repair or replace it without it having a very obvious problem, like a reticle at 45 degrees or a lens that fell out. It just won't hold zero and I've tried it on 3 guns. Keeps moving horizontally.

What about warranty on Burris when the scope has been abused, such as in a fall? Anyone have any experience with this?

I sent a Leupold 2-7 to Leupold for repair that was terribly banged up on a sheep hunt. It had a huge gouge on one turret, and the image was actually oval-shaped when you looked through the scope. Was certainly expecting to pay, however got it back gratis in about three weeks, and with the new generation erector system installed!

Wondering if there is an update to this thread. I too am wondering about Burris warranty. Is it transferable like with Leupolds or is it for the original buyer (receipt holder) only?

I got mine back after several months. It looks like the Canadian people may have forwarded it to the states, because the paperwork that came back saying it tested out OK, has the US address on it. They say the scope tested as fine.

I can't comment on warranty transferability, as I was the original purchaser.

no repairs were done to your scope?

No repairs done. The paper work they returned with the scope said that they tested it out as fine. Leaves me feeling kind of sick about this scope because I had problems with it on 2 different rifles, but its possible that the problem does lie with the rifle and slug gun, or it could be that they couldn't detect the problem. I think I'll just relegate it to a 22 scope and see how it works out there.

Sent an old 2.5x7 to Colorado for repair last July. They advised me that it was not repairable due to it's age and then sent me a brochure with all there scopes and a price list (US Dollars) so I could purchase a new scope at a reduced cost. Purchased a 3-12x50 Euro Diamond Ballistic Plex for about $175.00 shipped to my door, no paper work on my part. Took about 3 weeks and I was very pleased with there service.

They did the same thing to me, but I didn't take them up on it. I tol,d them that the whole reason that I bought a fullfield in the first place is that it had a lifetime warranty to ensure that I didn't have to buy another scope if or when it went, down. They repaired my fullfield within 2 weeks, and I had it sold soon after that. You paid more for that Euro Diamond than it cost them to build, and they got out of the original warranty scot free!
