Hey guys, I used to like my rings, but now I have been having trouble keeping the scope from turning. I also see that the ring halves are almost completely touching. Has anyone had trouble with theirs? I have it set up with offset inserts.

Yes I'm certain they all match up, I was having trouble with my other rifle with this ring scope combo. I moved it over to another rifle, added moa, thought it was fine, but its not level anymore. I will tear it down again this weekend and go over it. Maybe it needs to be lapped even though it has inserts???
Keithjohn, the rings are not new, maybe 7 yrs old, and I got 5/8" group with the original rifle at one time. I should also note, I have been using a wheeler fat wrench to properly torque things.
You've had more experience with these than I have . I can't imagine lapping them though . The sako optilocks I have had for close to 20 years with no problems but seen another guys plastic insert that had broken .

I'm pretty sure you don't want to lap the Signature Zee rings as its not required.
If you have zero offset inserts in the top and bottom of a ring then its straight forward but if you are using them to put some cant into the scope you need to use the opposite moa insert top and bottom. For example if you put a minus 10 moa insert in the bottom half of a ring you will need a plus 10 moa inset in the top half of that ring so they match properly. If you don't do this I don't think they will fit properly.
Not sure what else could be causing the problem? I have never had an issue with the inserts not gripping the scope well. Maybe check the inserts and see if one has cracked and needs to be replaced?

I hope I found the problem this morning. The front has + and - 20, rear has zero.
After looking closer, I had slid the scope back to adjust eye relief, and the front ring shim was just barely getting into the bell, maybe. I redid everything and moved the front ring rearward one rail slot. I sure hope this fixes it. The rings set at 20 inlbs still show very little remaining gap.
