Burris Zee ring installation help

First experience using the signature rings with inserts.
Stopped cold in my tracks by something that likely doesn't matter, but want to seek advice.

The 4 insert halves included are all marked "0", but on one side of each half is a small scalloped area while the other side is plain.

When inserting these do the scalloped edges go together OR match a scalloped edge and smooth edge ?

IF you want to follow them.. I got 3/8/11mm Burris signature. It calls for 60 in lbs for the clamp screw. 30-35 for the ring screw.
My BKL are only 30-35 in lbs.

The XTR Sig ring set calls for 45-ip on the clamps and 20-ip for the "Top Ting Torque" for all models of the rings, per the spec chart on the Burris site. - https://www.burrisoptics.com/mounting-systems/xtr-signature-rings?sub=40
The "Installation Instr" indicate 40-70-ip for the clamp and NO value for the Tops - "...Level the reticle and tighten the ring top
screws equally so the gap between the top and bottom halves is uniform. ..." - This is a quote from the pdf for XTRs linked at the bottom of the page of the site.
I used 20-ip for mine on my CZ-457 VMTR on an A-419 30* Rail, holding an Athlon Argos 8 - 34 x 56. They haven't moved in a year and ca 2K rounds.
