Hey guys,

I bought some buries zee rings to mount on my savage 93R17. The problem is that I can't seem to get the bottom of the rings to slide over the weaver style bases that came with the savage. Are they always this tight or are my rings out of spec or my bases too big?

Cheers

Had the same experience.... solved as above. While not a big issue on a .22 you may wish to ensure that the tight fit doesn't fool you into thinking that the cross bolts are tightly abutted against the 'forward' edge of the cross slots milled in the base in order to preclude forward movement of your scope when under recoil during firing....

Yeah even though the reviews are good on these rings, I may very well just return them and go with a more traditional setup. Its getting mounted on a 17HMR savage so the recoil isnt really and issue. I may just end up going with some similarly priced weaver grand slams. While they arent the best rings, they will likely hold up just fine on a .17hmr.

Cheers

These are surprisingly good rings. I will put more on rifles I get that are already wearing weaver bases.
Mounted a vx2 lightweight on a 308 win mountain rifle this past weekend.
Worked very well. Looks great too IMO
