Burst fire as well as select fire = prohib AFAIK.

And even if you could own them, I'm pretty sure the Ontario CFO would never issue an ATT for one.

Posted And Losted , never (Listend) in the class when instructer was trying his ass off to prevent you from going to jail for doing like this

My instructor didn't know JACK ####. Even said anything with a pistol grip is considered a handgun (referring to a shotgun with a fixed stock/pistol grip) "Be-cause you old it like a and-gun"

You guys are really coming down hard on this guy, it was a straight forward question and it only required a simple answer.

When I did my course the instructor spoke very little about fully automatic firearms and the laws relating to them.

You sure he is not asking about bump firing, where you put the rifle on your hip your finger on the trigger and your thumb hooked in your belt and pull the trigger with the gun recoilling againist your finger.
Generally frowned on a most clubs.

I know that auto requires prohibited license for it.
but what about burst firing like firing 2 or 3 rounds at a trigger pull.

Any firearm that fire more then one round per trigger pull is prohibited.

I once trained with a grandmaster in martial arts, His most noteable saying was
"There are no dumb Questions... BUT ... There is no shortage of Azzholes who will tell u otherwise"

Unfortunatly for the OP...his intial foray on to this site included questions about availability of armour pericing rounds to protect himself from gangsters and the quality of the questions has not gone up.

Alice...please...PLEASE go read the info provided at the RCMP website (this goes for everyone, not just you). They have nice easy to read FAQ's, you don't have to go read the laws as written (yet...some of the short form stuff can be misleading...it really is a good idea to read teh actual law as written). All of your questions would be answered as well as a much better idea of how the laws are laid out (poorly laid out...but that comes later).

And alice seems to be able to take all the ribbing in stride...which does look good on them.
