Invite all your local CGN members to join you for a hunt or two and perhaps your coyote population will take a sudden nose dive. Not just that but you'll likely meet some terrific people while you are at it.

lol, that will reduce the population pretty fast. I've been killing a few of them my self.

Exactly how I grew up doing it, was told for grouse and rabbits aim a head ahead of a head. Works great but I use a 20 gauge nowadays.
Although we often task our sub gauges for this often close range work, just about any bird gun will do just fine for snowshoehares.

Back in the days of lead, when eastern hunters would only spend cash on one, single shot 12 gauge Cooey fixed full choke, often this same duck gun was employed for hare hunting. Locals merely aimed about one inch in front of the rabbit's nose at normal woods distances. Hence only part of the pattern did the job.
