Does anyone know if any current production mags are compatible with a Bushmaster 308? It's one of them evil black rifles (and I love me some magpul), so I tried a magpul AR10 mag first, and it wasn't even close. Then someone at a gun store told me they thought it took FAL mags, so I got one and it got close, but wouldn't click in. He said I may have to modify the mag, but I'm not good with that kind of stuff. This store had a gunsmith so I asked if the gunsmith could modify it and he declined. If a gunsmith can't (or won't) do it, I sure as heck aint gunna try. Then I learned there's more than 1 type of FAL magazine, but before I spend more money I'd like to see some confirmation that it should work.
If the other FAL mag will work, then the second issue is, does anyone make 5 or 10 round versions of it? The whole reason I'm looking for a new mag is that the 20 rounders I have make it hard to shoot the gun from either a bench or prone. When I looked I didn't see any in stock anywhere.
