Bushmaster .450

I don't think anyone cares about the .450 Bushmaster, it answers a question nobody was asking, and aside from the novelty of being different it won't be around for long. The AR is trying to be too much to everyone 5.56/7.62/6.8SPC/6.5Grendel/.450Bushmaster/.458Socom/.410/9mm/.50Cal ect. ect. ect. Problem is IMO that the system itself isn't the pinnacle of reliability or simplicity and is dated. The only usefull cartridge I see extending it's usefulness is the 6.5 Grendel along with piston driven alternatives, but then why not simply move to a more updated system and be done with it.

Having large calibre makes sense IF AR are allowed to be used outside of the fire range, at the end of the day what ever flying out of the barrel of an AR will only end up making holes in a piece of paper or go "ping: on stationary plate of steel, the only satisfaction you will get out of it is that you just spent more money doing it than the guy next to you :p

I dont think I would go that far..... but yes leave it as a 5.56 or 6.5g and lets the rounds fly!I dont think the system is dated at all IMHO I think its still the best system out there

Bah! What do you know! My opinions are based on my operational experience, nuff said.............:p:D

The mag would still be limited to 10 center fire rounds regardless of what type is being jammed into it...AFAIK. This is very interesting. Anyone have any legal insight into this?

last time cgn had this debate i think it was decided that it was 10 rounds of the cal it was designed for

ie- 40sw mags holding 12 or 13 9mm is fine as long as you dont touch the feedlips.

Correct. This was reaffirmed in this weeks CSSA email, too.

And by Touch he means that you don't mess with them to make it work better, just leave them alone and you are golden.

Not that we needed that, but good to have someone in print to "blame". :)
