Dlask makes replacement barrels for $550. Green Mountain blanks. Not bad quality at all but Ian does a lot more hand fitting and usually uses higher quality blanks. Bartlein, Shilen, etc. Results in a more accurate build.

7.62x39? Call Herron. He had the bolts on order many months ago when I talked to him about the conversion and can build the rest.

They are different platforms. It would be like asking what is better an AR10 or AR15
