Is the "arm-brace" buffer tube the same as a regular rifle buffer tube?

Can I just slide it off and slide another buttstock on; Or does the whole tube need replacement?
 
It's a carbine milspec buffer tube.

No one has these in stock just yet. I don't believe it has Pistol on the lower but checking into that.
