Sadly, true. I picked one up on the last sale, and it's not bad for just panning around and looking at stuff, maybe birdwatching, but not great at the range.

That's odd that two posters would be disatisfied. I bought one the last time around. I found it to be great for checking targets at 100 yds. I can even see .22 holes clearly at 100 yds. It's a permanent fixture in my range bag. My opinion; If you're looking for an inexpensive 100 yard spotting scope for the shooting range, go for it.

a friend of mine brought one out to the range today and it was completely useless. He's returning it post haste!!! Oh well, it would have been a great deal if it was useable.

I have one from 2 years ago. Same price & works fine to 125yrds. Not the greatest optics and I prefer it at half to 3/4 zoom.

I only need it for 100 yrds max so if it can do that then its worth it.

I bought 1 a few years ago also, paid full price befor they started going on sale,dam!!! Have been able to see 223's out ti 200 yds. It does get fuzzey at higher maga.

Three of them showed up at our range. One was quite good, one totally useless and one not as good as the good one.

If you buy one, check it at the store. The have no quality control.

Mine works good for up too 100y with 22LR
300Y is a little fuzzy for 223.
Seems to work alot better if is sunny out. Just a little bit of cloud and
its hard to focus.
