Hi there, as I am not a AR kinda guy (yet anyways) I'm looking to get some info on some of the experts on here. I've been keeping my eye on these forums and definetly value some of the opinions and for sure see similarities in the values and ideas that some of us have in commom. Basically looking to let you guys open the flood gates on this particular rifle, any pros/cons, any opinions about downfalls, places this platform excells in that others lack in etc. Feel free to shoot loose, looking to get some good information about this rifle compared to what else is out there.

Thanks guys

The gun in question actually has an Flat Top Upper Receiver with integrated Picatinny Rail and no irons. Gun is also coming with a Trijicon TA11 3.5x35 acog, I'm just curious to know about this particular rifle as there is a full lot of them coming up, most un-issued police service rifles.

I am happy with mine and it has never let me down. Upper and lower fit could be tighter, but it goes bang when I want it to, and it hits what I want it to. It is a good first AR choice.

I have one as well and can confirm, they are flat tops. Do your research keller

Man honestly I can say I love mine. Never FTF or FTE. It has superb fit and finish everywhere.
Nato 556 chamber and barrel.

And bushmaster is the largest supplier of AR rifles in the US.
You dont sell thousands of rifles if they suck.

Buy it.

I find people who bash bushmaster's have never owned them.
Keep up the great work though, peanut gallery.

Mine does the job well. I shoot Service Rifle and Service CQB with my XM15-E2S. But you can always find better and worst. I doubt you'll shoot a large enough volume of ammo to see it fail. And if you do see it fail, it's an AR you'll be able to replace the parts in question with higher quality components easily.

Price point would be nice to see. Especially if they come with Acogs. Who's going to be selling these? I'm interested.

It's a family friend of a contact who is an international arms distributor, I basically have access to approx 200 of these, technically must be considered "used" condition to be available for sale on the civilian market, however, they are unissued police/tac team rifles. I will eventually have the opportunity to pick and choose through the collection and pick the nicest ones. They come with the acog scope I mentioned, which again, is considered "used" the scopes have will all have been sent to trijicon prior to sale to be factory inspected and refurbed if needed and there's talk of an additional warrenty on the optic. Price point for the rifle with a 20'' heavy free floated barrel, flash hider, the acog and a ta51 mount for the optic is going to be around 1800 I believe. Given that the optic alone is quite expensive I'm interested.

Of all the AR variants that are available why the XM15-E2S?

Do you plan on using iron sights only?

Massive fail.

My XM15-E2S has a flat-top (includes detachable carry handle, which I've since switched to another upper) and is pure money.

As mentioned above, I'll guarantee that the majority of Bushmaster haters have never owned one.

Mine's a beauty - I'd have to be in some DIRE straits before I sold it, that's for sure.

Bushmaster isnt very high on the list, but its pretty common in Canada. For a plinker it will probably work just fine, considering its a range gun only.
"Plinker"?....."Probably" work just fine?.....Range gun "only"?....
For a person who knows little (if anything) about AR15`s, your statement`s go well beyond ignorance....Bushmaster does sell AR`s to the U.S. military...Not bad for a "range only..plinker"...
I have had my Bushmaster XM15-E2S for about 7 years, and it has never failed me, and is very accurate...I also have a red dot sight on it, just by removing the carrying...Where do these people come from?.....

First off, I am not a Bushmaster hater. I do not own one but I certainly don't have anything against them.

I was under the impression that the XM15-E2S denoted the dissipator barrel model that had a modified gas system to allow for the elongated sight radius. Apparently I am completely wrong on this point.

I apologize for wasting everybody's time and for asking such a uneducated and completely inappropriate question on these forums.

I will not let this happen again.
