A friend of mine just bought a Marlin 781 .22 rifle. It has a "Bushnell 3x - 7x custom .22" scope on it. The elevation knob has what I believe to be a BDC ring (bullet drop compensator) on it. Its marked 50 ~ 200 yds. The knob is exposed (no cap on it), its knurled and there's also a screwdriver slot cut into the top of this knob.
We're just a bit in-sure about adjusting the elevation / yardage markings (just turn the screwdriver slot while holding the BDC ring ?). Just don't want to wreck anything on a girl's first .22.
Anyone might have original paper work they could scan and email for a young girl (and the old guy trying to help her) ?
