Looking for all the feedback on this scope that I can get:D Was going to mount one on a Savage 12Fvss in .223 that has Leupold Std mounts. Was thinking that the 30mm tube would allow enough travel to reach past 550 yards and with the choice of magnification I wont lose the dot behind the crosshairs. Any experience with this scope would be great! Not interested in other options just a discussion on this one;) Thanks Icedragonmx

I was eyeing up the same scope. Loved it but I settled on the 1" tube and 40mm version instead as I wouldnt need any new rings. Eventually I will get a .223 and build it up and have this scope on it and then upgrade to this new scope for my .308. I must say I really am impressed with the elite 4200 scopes. Great clarity and price.

How does your scope handle when you have the power cranked to max(x24)? I was looking to hear if there was any downsides to this scope. Thanks

I have the 4-16 Elite 4200 with a duplex. I can easily shoot my .223 to 400 yards on 8" targets. I can't detect any fringe distortion on my scope. The scope is clear, solid and holds it's zero well. Clicks are repeatable. Mine does have the parallex correction, but I've never really noticed any benefit to adjustment at < 400 yard shoots with max magnification.

I have a 4-16 and 6-24 side ao 1" bushnell elite scopes as well as a few other scopes, my next purchase will be one of the 30 mil 6-24's, I like em, good price as well as good optics

Get some burris rings w/inserts to solve you elevation issues. Shim the scope to use the entire elevation travel available.

I use the Elite 4200 scopes on just about every rifle I shoot.

Like them, trust them, compete with them.

'nuff said.

The view was great at 24 power. I detected no distortion but we will see when I do more shooting at that power. I am not planning on shooting out past 300m with this setup, I really just wanted the mildot and side paralax adj. The real downside I find is the field of view at 24x. It becomes quite narrow as to be expected. So far it is a great buy. But yes next up is the 50mm objective version on maybe a heavy barrel .223.

Thanks guys for the feedback! I am thinking the 30mm tube will be the best bet for me. Buy once and buy right. Will post a report if and when I get one:D
