Bushnell bag offer (hoax)

I talked my lovely wife into buying me a Bushnell 3x9 50 E3200 w/firefly from Bass Pro
The Bonus gear bag ( nice bag) was the dissission maker over the compitition
After 3 months and several e-mails inquiring where my fancy bag is. I get a letter with my uncashed 20$ cheque (to cover shipping) included.
the letter said due to overwelming response they ran out of gear bags thanks for you bussiness F@*K O#F..
Boy am I up set about this.... What should I do?...Has anyone had the same thing happen to them??
Maybe I should return the scope for a competitve unit??:mad:
 
If you like the scope and the price was fair, keep it. If the only reason you bought it was the bag, then return the scope and get one you like and chalk it up as a learning experience. Always buy the item you want. If it is on sale or comes with bonus items then great, if not then at least you have the thing you wanted.

If the scope with the bag was your second choice but the bag was cool, how happy would you have been with the purchase a year or two down the road when the bag is sitting in the bottom of a closet and you are wishing you bought the other scope...
 
Well the offer did say "while supplies last" :)
My bud got a bag & really liked it!
I bought my 3200 a month before the offer came out :rolleyes:
I'm not crying but I would have liked one of those bags to :D

I have not installed the scope yet I think I should be happy with it.

Missing out on the cool gear bag sucks...But if the scope is any good I'll have it for a long time..

Thinking of puting it on my BAR 308:cool:

if me i would return the scope...reason being..how can you trust there product if they can not stand up to company that tries to screw you...send them a letter...if your not good at writing a letter (as i am crappy at it) im sure a few CGN er,s will help you out;)
 
I had an issue with BPS over pricing and was less than satisfied with how it was handled. Getting pissed and not going back would be short sighted so I told the Manager, once bitten, twice shy, I'll live and learn.
 
Pretty crappy service if you ask me. In this day and age there is absolutely no reason whatsoever why they should be selling out on the bags "due to overwhelming" responses. They have got very detailed sales figures and estimates for forecast sales, all based on years of data collected and demographics. They can almost pinpoint what their sales will be within a relatively generous framework and should plan accordingly. Any leftover bags are give-aways. If they ran out then they planned it that way. Someone, somewhere came to the conclusion that they would only order so many bags, even though they knew they would come up shy down the road, and the hell with the people who came crying "after limited supplies ran out".

I got one of the parkas a few years back and it took about 3 months, but I did finally get it.
 
I buy scopes to buy scopes not to get a cool bonus gear bag. Nothing wrong with the Bushnell Elite scopes, though. Sorry to hear you got screwed over.

I got my bag in less than 3 months it is a great bag, again they said while supplies last, hard to argue that one. A letter stating your dissatisfaction will go along way, just say you would like something else of equal value or you are returning your scope.
 
I got the same letter with my $20 cheque last week. My letter also said that they would be shipping me a different gift in the near future. Check your letter again, it might not be all bad news. Mark K
 
The bag is not "FREE" if you are paying $20 for the shipping. Makes it a $20 bag. Look around BPS for something that is $20. The end result will be the same amount of money out, and another product in.
 
Oh God not another one this morning just a half hour ago. I'm going to have to leave this one in its container and put it up in the rafters. Theres only so many you can stack in a closet
