My Dad recently had an issue with his approx 35yr old Bausch + Lomb 6-24 scope used on an equally old Tikka M55.

The scope's reticle was somehow buggered up and gun went from a tack driver to not being able to hit paper.

He bought a new Bushnell 4500 replacement scope locally from Wanstalls, got treated well, happy with new model.

Wanstalls suggested that maybe it would be worth sending his old one in to have it looked at, yeah never know.....Bushnell
have taken that brand over for rifle scopes. So he spends the $11 shipping and off it goes, scope was useless otherwise and
likely not worth repairing, but worth a try.

3 weeks later I follow up for him, and am told that they are sending a brand new replacement Bushnell 4500 6-24 out in a
few days.....WOW!!!

Couple days ago the scope arrives. I recently bought a Bushnell of the EE for myself and am completely sold on the amazing
customer service and integrity to stand behind a brand/product....customers for life, well done Bushnell!!!

Interesting, as I have a B&L 6-24. It clicks just fine, but it's dark to look through. I wonder what they would do with it??

Well, it only cost you shipping to find out, and depends on how usable or not the scope is. Info here on how to proceed:

I think if/when they see a scope that has clearly been treated well, not damaged on exterior and glass looks clean, they
probably use some discretion on whether to repair vs replace.....just a guess of course, but my Dad's old scope was like new.

Yeah, from what I understand, the top tier warranty is on specific lines within the brand.

I don't know about that...I have had similarly outstanding service from them on two very inexpensive scopes, one of which was actually a Simmons-branded scope that was as old as the scope in the OP. The other was a Sharpshooter, I think their lowest-pieced line.

Both scopes were so sold and obsolete that repair was impossible. Both were replaced without hesitation, with superior up-to-date models.
