bushnell elite 3200 3-10x40mm

Are they equal in quality as the 3200 3-9x40? how long have these scope's been around? I've just recently discovered they existed... and seeing I was shopping for a 3200 3-9x40, a 3-10 would be nicer to have.

any comments from ppl who has used them and the conventional 3200 3-9x40? how do they compare?

Bushnell came out with the 3-10x40 "shortmag" model last year. I think they're better than the 3-9x40 because they're 1" shorter OAL, and have more eye relief at 3.7". That's why I bought one. The 3-9x40 model has less at 3.3" E.R.

What are you putting it on?

Tikka T-3 lite SS.... Do you think the quality of the glass is the same as the 3-9x40?

I bought one last november, and they are the same quality as other 3200, in fact, they are Bushnell Elite 3200, same glasses, coating and quality

The 3x10x40 are made to accomodate short action rifle like the 308, 243, all the WSM and other style short action.

As Paul said the're pretty much the same optically. The mounting length on the 3-10x40 is 5 3/8" and it suited to mount on short actions or one piece weaver base. Mine is mounted on my 7600 270win.
