Hey guys,
Kind of a sad situation here but I'm new to the "fancy" scope world so I need a little bit of assistance in fully understanding how my scope works. I know you might be thinking "why would you shell out that much money if you don't know how it works?" and truth is I got the scope BNIB for less than half any in store price I've ever seen. I needed a high magnification for my .204 ruger and once I came across the deal I had to scoop it up.
Basically, how do I use these Mil-Dots in estimating range and windage? I've managed to sight it in (zero it, then unscrew and reset the turrets?). I think I've found a load that works good enough in my gun.. so should I just go out to a flat field and shoot and tinker around with the turrets until I know how much I'll have to twist to shoot out to 600 in increments of 50 yards or so? Any insight would be great.
