Tomochan is again going to cost me a fortune; I already have a Premier because of him...

Anyway, looking for a bit less $$ to spend and the DMR/HDMR line seems to fit the bill but I can't figure out the differences between the DMR, the HDMR, the DMR2, and the HDMR2 ...

I had a DMR years ago for a couple hours, sent it right back with a focus problem but had a hard time getting my money back, so it left me with a bad opinion of Bushnell

Any other options for me ? I would like:

- HORUS or G3 reticle
- Illumination
- Low profile turrets (capped turrets would be best if HORUS)-
- x15 magnification mini
- Can take a beating
- $1500-$2000

Thanks
N.

Ah well let me chime in - the new DMR ii is an excellent scope. The G3 is a smidge thicker than the old G2 (to allow for illuminated on the models that have that feature) but it is still totally ok. I'm super impressed with these new Bushnell scopes and figure that features for the dollar put them in a can't be beat category.

The new Bushnell Elite Tactical line is stellar. I think if they would market them under another brand other than Bushnell (which many associate with cheap scopes) they would sell 2x as many.

If i were in the market for a scope today, i would buy a DMR II/HDMR II in a heartbeat.

I have a DMR, great optic for the price but also have the LRHS on my 300 wsm for hunting..its a great scope as well. It has low profile, zero stop turrets in the power range you want with a G2 style reticle. Not sure on the illuminated reticle though.

Ok, I'm sold, thanks guys; but what is the difference between thoses models? There are 4 on the bushnell website.

DMRIIi - Illuminated. Throw lever
DMR II/HDMR II non-illuminated. H has Horus Reticle. Throw lever

DMR and HDMR - same as above. no throw lever

The other feature i love is the fixed eye relief throughout the power range. i always have the same cheekweld regardless of power setting.

Here is a breakdown of the features/differences between the models:

DMR 3.5-21x50mm: features Mil-Dot or G2 reticle, no zero-stop, T-Lok (locking) turrets, 5 mil per revolution turrets, no throw-lever.
These are in stock and on clearance (G2 reticle models only) for $1499 +tax/shipping

HDMR 3.5-21x50mm: identical to the DMR above, but with the H-59 or Tremor2 reticles.
These are in stock and on clearance (H-59 and Tremor2 reticle models) for $1599 tax/shipping. If you want to access the Horus H-59 or Tremor2 reticles, this is the cheapest way to do so.

DMRII 3.5-21x50mm: G3 reticle only (Mil-Dot no longer available), lower profile turrets, RevLimiter (zero-stop), turrets no longer lock, ThrowHammer throw lever, 10 mil per revolution turrets, and improved glass.
These are currently sold-out with new units arriving in mid to late May: $1799 +tax/shipping

HDMRII 3.5-21x50mm: identical to the DMR II above, but with the Horus H-59 reticle (Tremor2 no longer available).
These are currently in stock: $1799 +tax/shipping

DMRII-i 3.5-21x50mm: identical to the DMR II above, but with illumination.
These are currently in stock: $1899 +tax/shipping

Adding in another 10c - there was commentary on another site that the G3 reticle was 'too thick' but, really, that commentary is overblown and shouldn't put off a prospective purchaser. Yes a bit thicker than G2 but still totally fine for target shooting.

Perfect, thank you all. Outstanding job!

Omer, I will be ordering the HDMRII Horus as soon as I am back from the Kamloops gun show (just in case I find a cheap DTA SRS or Nemesis ;-) )

Cheers!

Not unless he's received new stock. Omer told me that I scooped his last DMR IIi earlier this week. Probably best to call ahead of trying to place an e-mail order...

I did receive a couple of scopes on Friday. Here is what is currently in stock and availabe:

DMR 3.5-21x50mm G2: $1499
HDMR 3.5-21x50mm H-59: $1599
HDMR II 3.5-21x50mm H-59: $1799
DMR II-i 3.5-21x50mm G3 illuminated: $1899
LRTSi 4.5-18x44mm G3 illuminated: $1599
LRHS 4.5-18x44mm G2H (moa): $1499
LRHSi 4.5-18x44mm G2M (illuminated mil): $1599

I just learned that Bushnell will be running a "Yuuuuuuuuge" mail-in promotion mid May, so if you can hold-off until then, it will be well worth it. For those who purchased Bushnell products recently, please PM/call/email/text me as I want to ensure that you are taken care of.

Cheers,

Omer
