Well this caught my attention, seems to be the "next gen" for the HDMR? buddy does a good review just wondering if there are any "end users" up here?

Looked great in the store, had nice clicks and liked the FFP plus all the other features. I ordered a XRS 4.5-30x50 after seeing how that one was like.

I have every available model in stock at the moment:

I'm sure there will be a few CGN members posting their thoughts as a fair number of scopes have gone out now. My impression is that if you're looking for an FFP, mil/mil scope, and are into the G2DMR/H-59/Tremor2 mil-style ranging reticles, these cannot be beat at this price point. You'll also find that I'm currently matching US pricing.

There are very limited quantities of the H-59 and Tremor2 reticle models as Bushnell USA is only allocating so many for Canada this year, based on their perceived demand. G2DMR reticle models are in healthy supply however.

I really want to take the plunge in one of these, but it's hard to do it without having seen one first. Damn I wish I could check one out first, they look awesome.

You won't be disappointed. Get the G2 reticle if you decided to get one. I have the G2 and the mildot, I like both. With the G2, I can use the reticle for hold over out to 900m with a 100m zero. I don't have to dial the turrets anymore.

I'm looking at the G2 reticle for this one. I'm interested in this particular one as a new hunting scope/tac scope. So if anyone knows of a place in Edmonton area with one in stock, I want to see it. Also, if there is a local CGN'er with one that would be willing to meet up for me to take a look at it, that would also be awesome.

if I really like it ill grab a 4.5-30 with H59 for my tactical build later, since S&B is $4000.00 and a little out of my price range.

I'm getting close to "pulling the trigger" on one of these, any owners/operators care to give a range report? any pics of the FDE version would be great as well?

I put mine through it paces, past the box test with flying colors. I also maxed out the turrets all the way up and down, L and R several times and it returned to zero every time. I dialed the turrets as well as using the recticle for hold over and they were right on out to 500m, that was as far as I could shoot that day. I can see 6mm bullet holes out to 300m. The recticle at 21x is a little thicker than I would like but I can live with it. Over all, I very happy with it.

Thanks, good "readers digest" range report. Cheers

Do you have the "zero stops" ? if so can you give me an idea on how they were to set up? 15min time required or less? etc

Here is the best image I could find of the FDE: http://www.laruetactical.com/sites/default/files/et45305za_et45305gza_et45305jza_et45305tza_cat1.jpg

It looks great in person, but has a metallic tint (like an FDE ELCAN or the Vortex Razor HD's) as opposed to a true "flat" baked-on finish, such as a RAL8000 Schmidt.

In terms of a range reports, the numbers of DMR/ERS/XRS scopes are out there are growing, so hopefully we get some objective (I acknowledge my bias) reviews from CGN members. These scopes have been reviewed fairly exhaustively on Snipers Hide, the High Road, Sniperforums, etc...so a little Googling will yield a fair amount of stuff to read/watch.

Here is a link to a pretty thorough analysis: http://forum.snipershide.com/sniper...445-full-review-bushnell-hdmr-g2-reticle.html

Yesterday, a customer (and fellow CGN'r) and I spent considerable time comparing a Schmidt Bender PMII 5-25x56mm FFP H-58 with an XRS 4.5-30x50mm H-59.

The superior brightness, clarity and resolution of the Schmidt was immediately evident and noticeable, but the XRS was very nice and directly comparable. At one point we set both scopes to 25 power and freehanded a street sign just under 600 yards away - we were able to clearly read the text on the sign, although doing so was a bit easier with the Schmidt. We compared virtually every aspect of the scopes (diopter, parallax adjustment, field of view at different magnifications, the crispness of the adjustment, the difference in locking mechanisms...) and the customer was very pleased with the manner in which the XRS compared against the Schmidt, and against his current stable of scopes (Leupolds and Nightforce NXS's). Hopefully he posts his impressions about it soon.

I've exhausted most of the "internet" stuff, the reviews are pretty consistent with no "red herrings" showing up. Bushnell has the right people on this project and it's a "home run" for them. Now it's not just if but when I pull the trigger. :)

mildot, I just got home from the range. sight in my second one with the G2 reticle and put this one through it paces and it tracked perfectly and returned to zero every time. Mines are the non-zero stop. Here's a video showing how to set up the zero stop. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pp3HyidAaBE looks pretty straight forward.

Thanks bud you put the "solid" in CGN. Cheers
