Recently purchased a Bushnell ELITE 4500 in June of this year. Yeah I know, my bad. In any case, on it's second trip to the range, the parallax system (distance setting knob on the left side of the scope) broke on recoil. My target was suddenly out of focus and the parallax knob wouldn't move smoothly or travel through it's complete range of motion. No big deal, I'll just contact Bushnell. That's where the real problem started. The phone number listed on Bushnell's website doesn't work, at least not from Canada. The customer service email at Bushnell.com will only get you a reply stating to contact through the "contact us" webpage. I've done this several times and never have heard a reply over several weeks.

My question is, has anyone actually received a reply from Bushnell on a warranty issue? Does anyone, or any business member, know of a business that does repairs for Bushnell in Canada? Does anyone actually have some method of contacting Bushnell that actually works?

Thanks in advance for any help. In the meantime, I would STAY AWAY FROM ANY BUSHNELL PRODUCT PURCHASE here in Canada as it seems their "lifetime" warranty is a joke, IMHO anyway.....

Word is that Canadian dealers are the warranty contact for Canadian customers, with some folks reporting success. Curious as I have a few Bushnells purchased used and I wonder how a claim would go for me.

Love the Elite Tactical line a lot.

Yes, now that Bushnell no longer has a Canadian Warranty center, the Dealer you purchased from ( or your local Bushnell dealer) will handle the Warranty.

Well I purchased from Cabelas and they advised me they have a 60 (or perhaps 90 day) return policy. In any case I was outside the time frame. Secondly, I misplaced my receipt so I suspect I'm out of luck. In any case, as I mentioned previously, BUYER BEWARE! It appears the lifetime warranty of any Bushnell product is worthless.

Luckily, I only have one and the dealer is still in business. But he's 100+ miles away, too. Maybe the local BP will 'handle' the eventual Warranty Claim. That's where I'd start, 'TheGeneral'. With the Bushnell Warranty they shouldn't need the receipt ?

I recently bought a Bushnell rangefinder, only for it to arrive broken (battery inside had exploded). Contacted dealer, they're getting a replacement for me via warranty.

And now that CP is on strike so who knows when I'll get it... bah!

You have gotten the exact answers you need to process a warranty claim with Bushnell. Do you want to moan, or do you want to warranty your scope?

I bought one Bushnell about 20yrs ago
First and last.
Not everyone has a bad experience with them but I moved on and don't miss em

I had a scope replaced directly through Bushnell warranty in April of 2024. It was next to impossible to get through to them @ (800) 423-3537, as there were always too many calls in queue though eventually I did. They emailed a return label for the broken one and sent me another one from out of the US. Turn around was about a month from the day I shipped the broken one back.

Don't be an idiot. A lifetime warranty should be just that, and you shouldn't have to jump through numerous hoops to obtain it. As for the "exact answers", if you had taken the time to read my post BEFORE YOU shot off your useless reply, you would have noted that I have previously tried all the avenues mentioned by those kind CGN members who actually had something intelligent and worthwhile to add to the discussion. I'm not a fanboy to Bushnell or any other company, I just want what I paid for. If your afraid of "moaning" for something you paid for, then I suspect you may be big, white and fluffy and easily roasted over the campfire.....

The way I read your post, it's a warning to stay away from Cabelas who throw the customer under the bus based on their return policy??? Shame on Cabelas!

I've had ONE Bushnell return, prior to the changes & it went smoothly.
Same here, although few years ago. My experience was very good, they replaced my binos with the next model up.

Wonder why the change in customer service!?

I will now have to eat some crow here folks. After trying the phone number many, many times over several days, I thought I would give it one last try. Well, today it actually worked. I decided to leave a call back number (which they said they prefer) and I received my call back. The customer service rep. took care of my issue and will be attempting to resolve it. On all my previous attempts to contact Bushnell by phone, it always ended in "this number is not currently available, goodbye". Well, as stated, today it actually worked.

If anyone is interested, I will post the response from Bushnell, when and if I see results. Thanks very much all for your help !

Didn’t Busnell, RCBS, and a couple other companies get bought out recently by a large corporation? That may be why the CS has changed
I remember reading that RCBS CS wasn’t as good as it used to be either yet the one time I used it years ago they were very good

Bushnell warranty not worth the paper its written on. Switched everything to vortex(yes i know no one that spends $$$ on expensive glass never needs warranty) but im hard on my gear and vortex has always taken care of me.
