Bushnell Magnetic Boresight

It slide around on the end of the barrel, scraching the end of the barrel on 22lr, to short for my sks millet rail, instructions say you can do iron sights too...just wondering how they do that...nonsence...was retrurned to the store next day

I have the leupold one and that magnet will not slide around. It proved really useful working out a scope alignment issue, that ended up being a probem with the base.

I have never had alot of luck with bore sighting, my fat head makes it hit typically wide right, though now I adjust for it so I push the scope right and slightly down as a starting point.

It is very useful for confirming zero.

I would love to do a comparision to the arbour type, I suspect the arbour type will get you closer on the first shot.

So what's the purpose of those things? Just getting your scope to the adjustment zone? I usually just look down the bbl and align the crosshairs with what I can see down the tube....

If you can see through the bore and you got the space, I think that way is superior to any kind of bore sight.

I have one, and found it to be a PITA. Keeps sliding around. Also have a arbor version. Prefer the good old look down through the bore method.

I bought one on a whim and love it for getting me at least into the ballpark before heading off to the range.

To protect the muzzle I just put a peice of papertowel or thin cloth between the muzzle and the magnet.

Not that I think it could do much damage anyway.
