Bushnell owns Tasco

It's been 4-5yrs since Bushnell aquired Tasco. All the service is now done at the same location in Ont.

Bushnell seems to have a strange business plan. I don't know why they don't want to improve their name instead of flogging off crappy low end scopes and Tascos. If they would concentrate on good service and the higher end stuff they prolly would do well. They even lost the right to use the B&L name in their line-up. :runaway:

remington owns marlin, beretta owns burris, sako, tikka, and Bushnell looses alot of business because they hire a lot of incompetent people

My now ex-wife once bought me a present of new binocs (way too powerful, but what the hey), made by Tasco.
Absolutely the worst, most distorted glass I have ever looked through. You simply could not get a decent view. Soon after, I bought a set of smaller Bushnell's that have served me well for years- very good glass. Not as sharp as my dad's old Leitz Wetzlars, but very close.

Cerberus owns Remington, Marlin, Harrington & Richardson, New England Firearms, DPMS, Bushmaster, and DaimlerChrysler. Soon they will own the entire firearms industry.

Bushnell probably bought Tasco because they saw how many once-a-year shooters were buying the low end junk instead of spending more $$.

I'm not a big fan of Tasco at all, but my dad has shot over 15 running deer with an el cheapo Tasco. I guess if you are only going to use it once a year, and it works, then you can't really knock it.

I shot a deer this year with a tasco scoped 30-30, my father used the same rifle and got deer. It's an older model though, maybe better? All I know is I can't complain.

Not bad for $$

After owing a Tasco 6-24 for a year all I can say that the top magnification is a bit too demanding on the eye relief - eye has to be precisely in the right spot or no good picture. But at 20x and lower it's a fine scope, and at 6x it is parallax free, which is very convenient.
