They never "lost" the right to use the B&L name on their higher end pieces, they paid an annual royalty to B&L to use the name.
Some of us have fifty or more guns in our collections, these so called crappy low end scopes serve a good purpose esp. with rimfires.
They have done plenty to improve their name with lowering pricing on all the 3200 series products in the last couple of years as well as the introduction of the 6500 series.
Oh by the way they have been doing "well" for the last 30 years or so. FS
It's been 4-5yrs since Bushnell aquired Tasco. All the service is now done at the same location in Ont.
Bushnell seems to have a strange business plan. I don't know why they don't want to improve their name instead of flogging off crappy low end scopes and Tascos. If they would concentrate on good service and the higher end stuff they prolly would do well. They even lost the right to use the B&L name in their line-up.
