Bushnell package take off value

I got a 3-9x40 Bushnell, from one of those rifle/scope packages, my buddy wants it for his sks build till he's done tweaking and then figure out his optics. Trouble is I don't know what they're worth, I'll probably end up making a trade for somthing if his, but need and approx value to go off? Any thoughts?

Those pkg bushnells are only a $50-60 scope.I would say $40 is fair. You don't really buy a pkg gun scope....it's more of a rental.

To be honest and fair, the optic isn't worth much, for a buddy I say free or as you said op a trade for something. On an sks he's wasting his time as a 3-9 is too much glass, the quality isn't there and the rifle is inconsistent.
