Bushnell scope question

Well first off the Banner scope will do you fine , I have one on my 7MM RM , 3x9 never fogged once and never let me down in 7 years ... I Have another Banner on my 6.5 Same thing has been dropped , pissed on and used in the worst condition and never once had a problem... I also Have a leupy gold ring I really cant see any difference in the 2 scopes beside the price tag and slight better clarity , with my 3200 Compared to the banner there is no difference to me at all ,bothe are clear, shoot straight ,and dont fog up.

The older bushnell trophy's that were made in japan are a much nicer scope than the current chinese and phillipines made ones.I have an older trophy that is good, but has very little eye relief.Once I bought leupold,I do not think I could go back to a cheap scope!!I truly think saving for one, even the rifleman model, would be worth it.I have not used the vx-1 but the vx-2 is very nice.A friend of mine just bought a new trophy and regrets it.Scope works ok but when he looks through my leupolds he gets pissed right off!

Yeah, I got pissed when I looked through my Leupold vari-x-11(old style) and realized the B&L elite 3000 was significantly clearer and brighter:mad: not to mention friction vs click ajustments, single vs multi-coat,and on and on. Off came the Leupolds and on went the Elite 4000's:D Leupold may get me back as a customer when I go shoping for a long range scope, but the bitterness of having me pants pulled down over the price, Tommy remains

As far as I understand, the Trophy is one step up from the Banner. If the Banner is OK for you (I've never had any problems with mine on a .300 Winchester Magnum), then the Trophy should be fine, too. I'd stay away from the Buckhorn, though.
just you wait and see....

My old trophy has been on my 30-06 for about 12 years, and has performed well. The trophy does not have much eye relief as I stated before.I would hate to try one on my 375.The leupolds make shooting that gun much more comfortable.

Most of my scopes are Bushnells. I have a Banner, several 3200's, and one Legend 2-7x. All have served well without any problems. As mentioned already, the Rainguard on the 3200's really does work, and the view through the relatively economical Legend is bright, clear, and crisp. I consider allof them very good value for the money. A Zeiss, Leupold, Swarovski, or other more costly scope is nice if you have that sort of money to spend, but at least part of what you're paying for is the "prestige" which comes with those names...just my opinion.

You only get what you pay for in scopes and contrary to what many experts here believe, lens quality is relative to price.
Comparing scopes in daylight or in a lighted room and saying one is birighter than another is retarded and does not speak to the quality of the lenses or the coatings.
Take comparable Leupold and Bushnell scopes outside at night or pan them both toward the sun until they glare out... then tell me which is better.

Here is what frosts my balls. If you were to purchase your scope in the U.S.
Bushnell Elite 3200 3x9x40...$199
leupold VX-1 3x9x40...$199
Now if you were to buy them in Canada
Bushnell Elite 3200 2x9x40...$250
Leupold VX-1 3x9x40...$340:eek:
And thats not all,get this, the same place that pulls your pants downt to the tune of $90,also charges more than the Elite for the friggen Rifleman,WTF?
This leads me to the conclusion that those that pay more for a Rifleman or VX-1 are either getting ripped off a little or a lot depending on which Leupold they get.
