I have an old 2.5 to 8 Bushnell Scopechief. The power adjustment ring will not move, it is stuck on 2.5. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Thanks,
StanH

I had a old scope do the same thing
stopped by the repair shop on day (when in the area)
they put it on V blocks and said it was bent (non repairable)

so if you can make up a set of V blocks (wood etc) give it a spin

The scopechief was bushnell's top or almost top of the line for a number of years... sold with lifetime warranty for the original purchaser. Call or email bushnell canada and explain the situation and that you bought it new back in the day. You may end up with a freely repaired scope or a new 3200. Keep us posted.

Send it in, they will probably tell you it is over 25 years old and the warranty is up. Then they will offer to sell you something for a little more than you could buy it for yourself. Thats what happened to me anyway.
Then you can try the Hathcock shot.

i've dealt with bushnell for years, and it's ALWAYS gone the other way- send in your 10 buck handling fee- 12 dollars to mail it, btw- it goes a small package - and you get it either repaired or they send you a new one-

I had a 1.5-4.5 scopechief that did the same thing. I packed it up and sent it to them, they sent me a 3200 with rainguard and fire fly recticlle no charge. The scope was at least 20 years old.

Same BAD experiance for me with my 4-12x40 Scope Chief. The standard responce bent tube can't repair will sell you another model for x amount. Sent a registered letter to the CEO in Ontario explaining my problems and asking HIM for a responce which I never got.. So now it's Nikon or Leupold's for me........I wish it was night vision so I could stick it where the sun doesn't shine to see what they're made of....another Bushnell happy camper TBG.
