I'm in the process of deciding on a new scope for my rifle atm and I cannot find an answer for my only remaining question.
I have a Leupold clone right now and the reticle appears to be nearly 1" wide on my target at 100 yards. I find this to be pretty difficult to use, especially if I want to be getting smaller groups anytime soon.
I'm looking at getting a Bushnell Trophy and I'd like to know from owners of the Trophy what width the crosshair of the multi-X reticle appears at 100 yards? I know I could just increase the magnification and solve the problem for 100 yards but I'd like a scope with a reticle significantly less than MOA so the problem won't reappear at longer ranges.

my 6-18x40 trophy has the duplex reticle and it is thicker than my fine duplex on my leupold! it is not great to shoot very tiny groups or little tiny critters at long range!

I have one of those Leupold clones, and it doesn't appear to be much thicker than about one caliber-width - maybe you got a bad one?

In any case, I have noticed that Bushnell's do tend to have fairly thick reticles, but not so thick as to interfere with hitting gopher-sized targets out to 300 and beyond

I have a 3x9x50 Trophy and it is great, very fine. I also have a couple of 3x9x42 Trophies and they are not nearly as good. Consistency, at this price level seems to be a problem.
