I just recived my TRS-25 for my Vz58 and quite pleased with it. The new models have the emitter at the 6 o-clock position and the dreaded green tinted glass is non-existent. Problem is. I don't think it is bright enough. Went outside and the dot was lost. Is this normal for red dots? This is my first by the way, so I have nothing else to compare it to.

Well, I'm new to red dots and have nothing much to compare it to. So far I like it and it looks natural on the Vz58 and provides a good co-witness. for $100 I'm not complaining I can't rationalize $500+ for a Aimpoint Micro. I did try a Holosun which is brighter but the dot was a huge starburst on all settings. The Bushnell is crisp in comparison especially with the astignatism.

Can't wait to hit the range with it.

Try new batteries, even if they came with the scope who know how long they stayed at the bushnell factory,

Also hoping you actually bought a legit trs from a dealer, as their is a lot of fake ones on ebay etc

I had similar issues when I had mine mounted on my SKS, especially on sunny days with snow as mentioned above. Interesting its not as bad when mounted on my wife's 10/22, maybe has to do with eye relief?

Its all the snow!! Lol. I was out on the doorstep with mine yesterday. Wasn't shooting just checking out a new set up. I noticed mine was very dim also. I've never had an issue with any of mine(4). Even on sunny days. Gotta be all the damn snow. I could still see the dot but it was kinda dim.
They are a great budget optic for someone with a bunch of kids to feed like me. Lol
