I have one on my 10/22, only thing I wish it had was a push button or slide on and off. When rabbit hunting with dogs, I'd like to be able to put it on one light setting and turn it off when the dogs aren't close...or on quickly(with little movement)when a rabbit sneaks up on me.
That being said, I forgot to take the battery out one night plus left it on #7...went hunting the next day and still haven't killed the original battery(not sure on total hours but a season old plus plinking). Guess that means I could probably leave it on for hours and not worry about killing the battery...
Couple other things I don't like are my stigmatizm and if you forget to check if put the battery back in before a hunt...guess there not the scopes fault though.
