Hey everyone. I just called Bushnell to get warranty on an Elite scope and was happy when they are going to send me a new one almost no questions asked. Problem is that apparently they have been having trouble getting the scopes across the border for some reason and unsure when this will be resolved. Anyone else run into this issue? Wondering if I’m ever going to get that warranty scope or should I just cut my loss?

Bushnell warranty is handled by dealers in Canada now. You just have to return it to the dealer you purchased it from for replacement.

As I recall Bushnell ships by USPS or CP to manage costs and this may be the reason they say they had difficulty shipping to Canada.
It was with my recent order from PTG.

US Postal services stopped accepting mail destined for Canada during the Canadian Postal strike. When the strike ended in Mid December, USPS continued this practice until January 6/25 , when they resumed taking mail destined for Canada.
If you tried to order from venders in the US during this period, you may have noticed that shipping by USPS was not an option and you were directed to use a courier service.

How did you get hold of Bushnell? I've tried to contact them online, but when I hit "submit" for a service request, the freakin' thing freezes and I can't put it through. I tried to call but they say their service line for calls is full and disconnect me. In short, I'm not too impressed with Bushnell at all! I have a Bushmaster 20-60X60 spotting scope and I can't get a clean crisp image at any magnification. No matter what I do, it's always a little blurry. Before you ask, the lenses are clean and free of any foreign residue. I can't see any circumstances where I would ever buy any Bushnell product ever again.

They told me they used FedEx

I just called the customer service #. I requested a call back because they had “more than average call volumes” got a call back like hour later.

I have a Mid+ range scope I need to "submit" for warranty as well. Chemist said Canadian dealers can now do it, but is that only for newer product, with receipts etc.? My scope is 10 years old now/no receipt etc.

I called my local Cabela's shortly after Bushnell shut down in Vaughn Ont... about exchanging a Nitro...flat out said NO ! Next trip to The Gun Dealer I took it with me....not an issue. Replaced it on the spot.
Haven't needed anything till now. My Prime binos are sticking solid on the + - lens. might try and contact them directly again,

Depending on the type of scope, it may be ITAR restricted. I recently wanted to buy a scope with lifetime warranty out of the United States, but they do not have any Canadian representation. No sale, based on the fact that if I send it for warranty, I'll never get it back.

3200 and 4200 Elites were my favorite scopes, now I only buy Leupold.

Warranty used to be easy if it was ever needed, but now it's a big mess.

Bushnell warranty used to be stellar. I have sent defective scopes for repairs and within weeks would get a new replacement, and when I would send discontinued older models for which there were no modern equivalent, they would sent a voucher to be used on a new purchase. A couple of years ago this all changed and service sucks. I have customers who have sent in scopes and were still awaiting news eight months later.

To submit the request you have to put just numbers in the zip code box and add the postal code to your address. Then it takes it.
