I guess I dun lernt me lesson with Bushnell.
Just sent in a pair of lightly used Excursions.
Typical of these crappy sling binos, the nubbin's finally failed.
Sent them in and I was expecting to see the notification card they
send out soon.
No card, but they sent me a new pair of binos.
The replacements are a pair of Trophys instead.
A lesser quality bino, or at least a cheaper to buy bino at the time.
This "Trophy" series falls under their "No Questions Asked Life Time Warranty".

Their No Questions Asked warranty states that.........
-Will repair or replace product with equal or similar
value and/or specifications.

Took them out of the packaging and had a gander out back.
I don't think the clarity matches what I sent in.
Not even an email or phone call to ask if I would like to have the
opportunity to at least up grade said binos.
The Excursions are no longer in their production line and it looks like
the Trophys will be outdated too.

Curious to know what you humble folks think?

Nudder nail in the kawffin.............me thinks.......................

Email the U.S. head office and politely voice your displeasure. They have been known to extend some pretty decent upgrades.

I had an 6-24x50 sfp (mil-dot reticle/moa turrets = ugh) 4200 Elite Tactical that I paid ~900 new for many years ago. I had a vague inkling that the focus was a skootch off, so I took it in and it turns out the parallax was a little out. They replaced it with the same scope, except illuminated and mil-dot reticle with mil turrets....so about a $250 upgrade. Subsequent to that, I noticed that there was about 5mil less elevation than the website listed for the new scope (although it still had more elevation than the original did). I emailed Bushnell to ask if there was something up with the new scope or if the website was wrong. They replied that the website was wrong, and they included 2 offers to 'make things right'. Also within 12 hours they updated the website with the correct info.

Option A was that they would send me a 20moa rail (free of charge) to account for the missing elevation. Good if my rifle was a Savage, Tikka, or Winchester. Mine was a Tikka, and I'm fond of the pinned rail that's already on it.
Option B was that I could pay $500 CAD and be upgraded to a 3.5-21x50 DMR2 with G3 reticle.

I took option B. For $1400 (900 + 500) I got a $2100+ scope.

Ive had nothing but great service through their warranty system, although Im only ten minutes away from them. They have replaced a few items for me with no problem in the past.

How do you like the DMR, they look like a pretty solid scope, just a little on the heavy side for a hunting scope

I had an old pair of broken Bushnell H2O binos on the shelf for years and recently sent them in and Bushnell sent me a brand new pair of the same within a week.

The Excursion were below the Legend so I think that's Trophy nowadays.
You may put your new Trophy in you prepper stash and forget about them.

I will do as suggested and give Bushnell a call in the morning.
Don't wish to be ungrateful, but the now defunct Excursions were much clearer
in the glass.
Thanks folks.

I had a sketchy member eventually ship me a (broken)optic. Shipped to Bushnell, $10 handling fee to ship it back. Six weeks to get it back, the scope almost beat the notice they had received it.

Every interaction i had with actual people was great.

Taking two weeks to log it in, after a week to get there, and a week to get back》》》not so much.

No questions asked warranty is a winner. People there were great, they need a couple more people to log product in and communicate. Much better than Leupold/Korth.

Like most other companies warranties are being reduced as much as possible to maintain the profit level too bad Bushnell decided to be selective now on the product line

Not bushnell, but I sent in a pair of the old Burris 10x32 that they used to give you with a scope purchase (adjustment knob unscrewed and they came apart). I said I was happy with them but wanted to know if I could upgrade with the repair. 3 weeks later received a pair of Steiner Predators new in the box, no charge.

I sent in an older pair of the fusion rangefinding binos because the eyecups were loose and the coating scratched during cleaning. A week later they sent me a new pair of upgraded binos. I was very happy with the experience. I have a 3200 that I can't focus properly sitting by the door ready to go in the mail.

Well I just got back after waiting almost 4 months a Burris tac 30 that the battery cover and switch keeps ####ing up only to find out scope was supposedly repaired switch still does not work and under recoil damn retical flashes on and off and is blurry as hell First time dealing with Burris warranty but will say not very impressed probably gonna chuck it in garbage and do like I should have done and got a vortex

Have a few Bushnell scopes love them but not fond of there 1-4 ar scopes there heavy decent glass but the eye relief is finicky I find I have one of there 2-7 power AR.22 scopes on my beretta arx 160 and love it lots of features of more expensive scopes and really nice glass for the price
