A shooting buddy & I stopped in at Bushnell this morning with a scope that a mutual friend was having problems with. They examined the scope & will be replacing it with a new one.

Some people complain about the warranty service from Bushnell but I have had good service from them in the past & experienced first class service again today. :)

From what I have heard, if you mail it in, it may take a while. If you go in person, they usually replace it on the spot.

I mailed mine in and it took almost 2 months for the new one to arrive. If I should ever need it again and the next time I have to drive through the big smoke I might just as well try that. Then again I think I will just buy someone else"s scope. Even though I knew the new scope was going to show up sooner or later I still went out and replaced it with a leupold. I now have a new Bushnell sitting here waiting for a gun that won"t ever be pointed at a deer. POS.

i recently bought a Savage 111 in 30-06 from WSS which came with a inexpensive Bushnell 3x9. it broke within 16 shots. i took it back to WSS with receipt in hand, and to my surprise, they replaced it on the spot. Normally it would get mailed back to Bushnell where its common to wait a 4-8 weeks

One of the things that factored into my purchase of a Bushnell Elite - other than a good deal and great optics for what I paid - was the fact that I had heard good stories about the warranty center in Richmond Hill and in person service. Good to hear that it is still of high calibre.

Their warranty is something that is used alot,so I guess it should be steamlined.

I hear far more Vortex Warranty stories than anyone else.

I have had good experience with Bushnell warranty service as well despite mailing it in.

They replaced my old discontinued Trophy with a newer model from the new line. Took a couple months but there claim was they were waiting on the new line to launch.

I called Bushnell customer service yesterday, was looking at buying used rifle that came with a trophy xlt on it,

and the guy was going to give me his receipt from when he purchased the combo. The service rep said as long as I had the receipt I didn't need to worry about product registration, and warranty was intact.

Although I did really tell her I was going to buy it, rather that I had bought it last fall for deer and forgot to register it.

She seemed helpful, although I guess trying to get them to fix or replace something might be a different issue.

I've also been looking at cheap savage packages, and hate the bushnell scopes on them. If one broke, I'd just throw it away.

Thanks all for your input.
