Buskhammer slugs

I've never even seen 'em, much less tried 'em  I've read a few articles that make them sound pretty good though. You should get some, test them out and post pics :D heh, jk...

Not meant to be a hijack, but what's the story with those .690" roundballs on the ballisticproducts.com web-catalog? Are they meant to fit inside a standard trap wad, or do you need card/felt underneath them? Wouldn't there be serious barrel leading problems with a barrel-diameter roundball?

I fired some Buckhammers out of my Remmy 870 with 20 inch rifled barrel. Once you fire 3 rounds, you have had enough (and so has your purple shoulder) :D
I have not shot a deer with them yet but they make a very big hole in paper and are reasonably accurate.

I wonder if a semi-auto would tame them down enough. Now when you mean they are painful, are you talking "youch, that smarts !" or "Holy sh!t, sweet Jesus and Mary and Joseph      " painful.

Thanks, Arch:D

It's not that it's really painfull, it's more like when you pull the trigger and your like "where am I?" for a moment after lol.

They do leave a bruise though if you fire too many. I shot 8 when sighting in my scope and I honnestly had enough.

My 2 guests that I had with me at the range decided they were not going to try shooting it after they saw my hat and glasses all crooked on me haha.

Hi gents, thanks for the info. I'll stick with what I'm using then. I guess it would be pretty hard for a follow up shot (if needed) if my glasses were laying in the barley stubble.

Really appreciate it , thanks gain.

Arch:)
