Busnell Elite 6500?

Hi am am interested in finding out what the New Bushnell elite 6500 Scopes are like would they be a proper scope for my 223 Police? i will be shooting 500 yards and in what would you recommend 2.5-16X50 or 4.5-30X50? And are they clear to look through?

I have a 6500 4.5-30 and it is very clear. I think the only point I notice that it isn't 100% is right at 30

They are, in my opinion the best scope for your dollar, some early ones don't have the turrets marked for yardage or some such. You may want that feature so you don't have to hold over at 500 yds.(repeatability). The newer ones apparently have it. My 2.5-16 is brighter then my 4.5-30, but both are great scopes.
