Butchering costs 2012

Tried a new butcher in Low, Quebec this year, $85 each skinned and butchered. They did a great job and take obvious pride in their work. The 2 bucks were 165 and 186 lbs hanging.

My uncle runs a shop here, 45 bucks cut and wrapped no matter what the weight.

This is the first year I haven't cut my own deer using their shop, as I had to go back to Alberta for my shift, still free lol. Just gotta buy a flat of beer!

They'll skin it for 10 bucks I believe and it does make a difference in how clean the carcass is, not all hunters are very careful about their meat care.

75$ for the deer wrapped and cut into the cuts you want at Dumochel Butcher on Lola ( nice job too), 100 for really good keilbasa, and Italian sausage from the European butcher on Bank street.

i say your best option is watching some videos online and investing in a good set of knives and a vacuum sealer. you'll save a ton of cash in the long run and it's more satisfying completing the job from start to finish on your own, especially if it becomes a family tradition.

younger bucks and average size does don't really need to be hung as they're tender regardless when cooked properly...

Well this year I did mine and my brothers. I watched this a few times. The audio sucks but the information is great. I have found it harder to get my deer butchered each year.

I pay a flat rate of $50 for basic cut so chops, steaks, roasts and hamburger the rest..but the one I just brought in was $75 because he was a slob and was way heavier than the standard weight he goes by lol

Here in Edmonton I've been paying a flat rate of $85 per deer, cut and wrapped. Have been using the same fellow for the last 15 years, as his work is absolutely top-notch (and he's a great source of beef and pork scraps for spring bear baiting :) During that time though, his price went from $35 to what it is now. Welcome to Alberta...

My 2012 doe cost me $60 all said and done, for approximately 60lbs of meat. No sausage or anything like that. That's a fair price around here.

How much was a 12 pack 15 years ago? Or a liter of fuel

Wow im getting bent over at 1.00/pound for cut wrap only. I paid last year 4.00/lb for pepperettes. I have helped butcher one, which was super fun but i don't have any facilities to do it my self

I paid $32 to hang it for a week and have it cut up into roasts, steaks, chops, and burger. I vacuum sealed it all with my brothers sealer.
