butchering elk

Is there anything really different about butchering an elk compared to a deer, other than size?? My thinking tells me no, but I've been wrong a time or two, so thought I'd ask.

No there's no difference. The muscle groups on an elk are the same as any other split hooved aniaml. Cut it the same way you would a deer.
