Butler Creek cap sizes?

I've got a couple Nightforce scopes, 1-4 x 24mm, and need flip up caps for the eye piece and objective lenses, as well as for an S&B 3-12 x 50mm PMII.

Does anyone know what sizes I need? I know there's a chart, but I don't have anything to get a really good accurate measurement of the scopes for the right fit.

Chart doesn't work so well, best is to go into the store and test fit them, it is the only sure fire way to tell, I have 4 extras using their "chart" and my calipers.

Well next best thing is to talk to someone who owns the scope with the covers or a store that can fit them, trust me on this. OR do you wanna try my extras???

Don,t bother with Butler Creek covers bought a set last fall took them back three times

I have the 1x4 24mm Nightforce. The "Butler Creek Flip-Up Rifle Scope Lens Cover #2A Objective (Front)" apparently works, but I haven't been able to find it in Canada. Rear cover is easier, but the safe is out of range right now.

the butler creek "multiflex" 39 & 40 obj fits the objective of my 3-12x50 swarovski quite nicely, might be close to your S&B?

can you get a OD spec listing from Nightforce and Schmidt and bender? That should give you the range. You select the cap based on a range. It lists a few sizes for each cap, try and get one that is near the middle of the range. Brownells has alot of the caps and a few places in Canada do as well.

I use the #2A (Objective Lens) on both my NF 2.5-10x24's and they fit perfect. I just ordered a #2A from Brownells and recieved it within a week.

^ amen to that. Just went through this, ended-up bringing the scope TO the gun shop. The issue is this (as I see it) BC doesn't have a separate cap for every size they offer, their caps (within a given range) have the same OD, the inside is what varies. So, depending on your scope size, the cap "wall" may be thicker or thinner, depending on your scope. Makes sense, they don't want to mold the flip-up portions in every conceivable size.

So, my second last scope....took three attempts to get the right BCs, the last scope~one trip...cuz' I brought it there.

Partial success.

Took one of my 1-4's to Le Barons today and picked up 3 of the eye piece cover. It's the 13 & 14 EYE, 1.570-1.605" (39.9-40.8mm) Fits nice and snug.

They were out of the #2A for the objective, so I'll probably put in an order to Brownells. I've been wanting to try the AFG2 anyway.
