Butler Creek for Vortex

If you do get the Butler Creek covers, go on the Vortex site and look at the specs for your scope, it will give you the exact dimension for both ends.

Then look at this table and choose the model accordingly:http://www.butlercreek.com/productsImages/charts/flip_scope_chart.html

*warning* the eyepiece and objective lenses are both numbered 1, 2, etc but the models refer to different sizes. This causes huge confusion with Butler Creek covers.

Edit: Also, my PST 6-24 has a soft rubber end on the eyepiece, the Butler Creek cover did go on but I was afraid of damaging the rubber (vs metal focus ring).

I know all this.
You probably use #40 for the objective. Which number is your eyepiece side?

Wow, you guys never broke the cheap butler creek lense covers? You're clearly range kids. Ive never had a set last a hunting season. They are cheap plastic covers, and all it takes is a tiny twig hitting them sideways to break them.

They work fine for range toys. But the whole point is for them to protect your glass when things get tuff, and they cant do that.

Leupold makes an aluminum set. They are pricey but will protect your investment.

Sorry... should have been more clear. I have ordered a bunch of Tenebraex covers.

Please correct me if I'm wrong...do the Tenebraex covers require an ARD or adaptor to attach to a scope? Or for $30 (assuming $15 each end) they just mount right on to the scope. Phil.

For 80$ from Wolverine you can get tenebraex covers for a s&b pmii with adapters for 80$(before shipping/taxes). If they make adapters for your scope it's about the same price as vortex caps. But they have the tenebraex warranty / quality/ brand.
