butler creek scope caps

I have a left hand Ruger 77. I can't use the scope cap on the eye piece because the bolt handle hits it when I work the bolt. How can I fix this without buying new rings??

What is it hitting? The little red tab that opens the cap?

If so, maybe just rotate the tab so the cap opens down or to the side.

If it is hiting grh red thumb tab, try using one of the front covers for the rear.

Move the scope back a wee bit - enough for the bolt to clear.

You could also go with one of the clear see through (imitation butler creek) caps. They do flip up, but don't emply the red release tab. They just have the two little black plastic tabs like the front caps.

Then you have the option of flipping open or just looking right through it.

It's hitting the red tab. I guess I could rotate it but the red tag would be on top of the eye piece. Can't move the scope back far enough so it wouldn't hit. The bolt handle goes past my eye piece 3 inches.
