Guess?
I was just wondering if I can purchase a standard AR, solid butt stock that screws into the same receiver I have my collapsible one in? I am currently using one of M14Doctor's stocks with a T6 collapsible stock installed.

I like the collapsible, but it would be nice to add something like this too...

Thanks!

I have the same stock, I can't see any issue to use a standard AR stock, you'd just need a rifle receiver extension and screw it in the place of your carbine extension before installing it.

Can I not use the extension within the collapsible?

No the two are very different. The carbine extension which you have has a ridge where the stock locks itself on the tube; It is also shorter.

The rifle extension is basicaly just a plain tube that contains the spring and buffer on an AR. The buttstock being held by a screw at the rear end.

I have installed several types of butstocks to the M14S-CQB stocks you are reffering to. From Magpul PRS,CTR, Ace, and the standard A2.
If the buttstock fits an AR receiver, it will fit my custom M14S-CQB stocks.
So how do you guys like the stocks now that you have some time behind em?

You know, I hate it when people ask a question when they know full well what the answer is......:D :)

The stock is great! It makes a fun rifle to shoot that much better! Not to mention the looks it gets. Had some yanks on a motorcycle forum I belong to asking about it.

+1 Got mine with a CTR. Excellent setup with the 18.5" barrel, quite fun to slice the pie around the house with a aimpoint micro T1 on it :ninja: being quite light.

The only hard thing with the ctr is to find the correct possition on a shooting table, i'm stealing every sandbag on the line;)
