I don't know or follow all the design inspirations but I do recall various butt-stock sling attachments similar to the 3HGR and etc, or in particular BFG/Vickers. I had the original version Vickers (old style webbing) along with the wrap around fore-end and butt-stock sling attachments. The sling and wrap around fore-end were often used for basic old school C7A2 sling attachment, where the rear was simply done with a tri-glide through the slot. The wrap around butt-stock was decent for any traditional stock (shot gun, rifle, etc) but arguably the BFG/Vickers design was flawed because the female ITW buckle faced forward.

No experience with them, but Coretac Solutions lists Grovtec as being in stock for $29.
