Buttstocks + Extension Tubes/Buffers -- Need a primer

Hello,

I have a Magpul UBR knock-off (At least that's what my Internet search has suggested) currently on one of my rifles.
I am thinking of replacing it with the a fixed full stock - A1/A2 style (Magpul Moe Rifle Stock).

I understand that the M4 style stock uses a different stock extension than the full A1/A2 style stock.

Question: Does my airsoft Magpul knock-off use the M4 or full size stock extension (i.e. Simply pull off UBR stock and replace it with MOE).

My reading also tells me there are spacers as well.

Not sure what combination I have and which one I will need to make this work.

Can anyone shed a light on my confusion.

P.S. I find the only time I collapse a stock is to transport it to the range in a shorter gun case. Like the feel of the full stock.

if you are going to mess with the buffer tube, you have to think about the buffer and the buffer spring as well. Length of the tube plays an important part on how well the rifle cycle the bolt carrier (but then, I am not an AR expert)

To use the magpul rifle Moe stock you need a rifle receiver extension or buffer tube.
You do not need spacers , these are only used with the A2 stock as it is longer then the A1 , both use the same tube.
The magpul ubr uses a proprietary buffer tube which is for that stock alone as I understand it.

I am no AR expert, but I can say the A2 rifle buffer tube is very different than the carbine length tube.

The carbine tube:

I don't have a picture of the rifle tube with dimensions, but I know they are 10.00" long x 1.11" OD, round full length and use a different buffer and spring. You will not be able to mount an A2 or MOE fixed stock onto any carbine buffer tube and the carbine buffer and spring most likely won't work in the A2 buffer tube (though I may be wrong on that detail, but they are definitely not the same parts between the two types).

The A2 uses its own tube as well as a longer spring/buffer. Make your life simple and buy one complete.

Also, the Magpul UBR uses it's own specific buffer tube as well, and isn't supposed to be run with a traditional one of either length.

You can usually get a compete one used pretty cheap of EE with a bit of patience.

Just looked at Brownel's website - A1 extension tube, buffer, plus buffer spring (3 piece set) = $30.00 USD.
