From a pure money perspective I'm actually getting more than I paid. For example my Norinco AR 15 is listed at $1520 unless I'm reading this wrong. I got it for 1/3 the price so I'm pretty surprised it's that high. Having said that, this is all complete BS anyway such a joke.
never get a penny..

How are they paying?
Cash?
Cheque on the spot?
Cheque mailed?
EMT on the spot?
I can't see most guys handing anything in for a promise to pay........

They better figure it out better then civilians dropping these off at local police stations, cops are going to be stressed, and that's going to lead to a bad scene.
They also better have cash or cheques on delivery, cuz nobody trusts this government at their word.
Prices are pretty low for the restricted ones, bit high on the non-restricted ones, likely by design as they know where the restricted are, no clue where the non-restricted are, so throwing bonus $$ at those hoping for more compliance.
I dunno, they had 5 ####ing years to figure this out, and just seems like they put this together in 2 weeks like idiots.

it will be interesting to see how it plays out in Cape Breton.....promise to pay won't get it done though
I GAURANTEE you that $750 mil they have allocated will be gone faster than they can collect a few thousand guns. Then what?

It's not just the cost of the guns... there's the cost of planning, implementation, collection, transport, destruction etc.

What are they going to do when the money runs out? Spend another $750 mil? Then another?

It's ridiculous... MOST people will not get paid that is a certainty.

2100k for an SVT?.. But honestly at this point I am pretty tired of getting pointed out by anti gun groups and having a bunch of stuff I cant even use. Id rather get rid of it and invest the funds in the stock market. Also not sure what will happen with the folks in Quebec that did not register their rifle with the provincial gun registry. Will they be fined when delivering their rifles? lol

More than likely it will show up as a credit on tax return. Just my opinion.
If this played out, how would that work for people on a {low} Gov. pension. or those on Disability etc.? I don't think they really get taxed'/deductions, same as per a working individual. Does that mean they get it all back when they file their 'income tax'?
They aren't really paying much or any taxes to begin with..

Question: does anyone know how to physically turn in AR15.com?

* Will the CRA come looking for undeclared income? (clawback) With the lib lice track record of proven lies ? Yeah I WILL HAPPILY, & Voluntarily give them up??

I heard a rumor they were thinking about offering people tax credits.
Sorry, you've (GOVERNMENT) has over taxed everyone and made everything so unaffordable and this is going to help me how again. Then you have the GALL to LOW BALLING me on my value of my RESTRICTED GUNS because you KNOW I HAVE THEM. The Government, has intimidated, every licenced gun user. They have broken their Sacred Trust with every law abiding vetted user, Extorting GUN USERS of Threats of Criminal charges to anyone not Volunteering in handing Legally Purchased firearms, because they have skewed the Gun Classification System using the OIC in a Global Pandemic. If Carney has any decency and honor he would recind the 2020 OIC and all of the ""Assault Style"" Legislation enacted after it. Everything else has to be evaluated and discussed in Parliament and a "" NEW FIREARMS ACT, "" as the one Gun users have now is BROKEN. The Liberial Government has made decisions that have Broken the Supreme Court and the RCMP on what Legal Personal Property is and described in The Charter of Rights. The Charter of Rights"" Notwithstanding"" Rule has SKEWED on what it is on The Legal Personal Property is.

$1620 for a Ruger No. 1 in elephant calibre.

No.

OTOH, $1,370 for a Ruger Mini 14 Ranch Rifle? Yes.

As far as I know Ruger never made a No. 1 in a caliber over the 10,000 Joule mark although custom rifles may exist. If you had one in such a caliber it would be worth exporting it south where you'd probably do better than what the government is offering even after the expense of shipping.

They made the Ruger No1 in 450 nitro express 3-1/2
I guess technically it would be an “ elephant caliber “ but is not a 600 or 700 nitro that’s for sure
Price offered is definitely a joke for this and many others
Hopefully compliance rates across the country are lower then what Australia and New Zealand’s gun grabs were, it will make our gun grab look like a massive fail

It's the one in 460 wby mag that got banned and you could get paid for.

I personally have a svt that was a victim of a fire...

On one hand I know it's a trap to try and get that put out of its misery rxpecting to be paid...

On another I have been thinking of rebuilding it in 7.62x25...

I am in a unique position that I can keep the prohibs if I don't want to surrender... So I would offer to ask questions about the obscure guns on someone's behalf since they can't tell me 'too bad you are not happy about the payout, hand it over'...

Be careful guys, there are known FEDS operating on Canadiangunnutz.
-The sun is setting on private firearm ownership in Canada.

Should the gun grab fail the Liberals will blame Stephen Harper for cancelling the long gun registry. Confiscating the non-restricted would be much easier had it been in place.
