This is listed front and center on frontierfirearms website. I need to warn you all DO NOT BUY IT. this is the biggest hunk of junk I have ever had. Now I am not saying its frontiers fault but the fact they would advertise this garbage is just not right. Without shooting it just dissembling it and reassembling it ONCE the cylinder rod jammed. I could not for the life of me extract it so a used a pair or vise grips to gently pull it and snap I broke a 1/4 inch piece of what I can only assume is the cheapest steel rod money can buy. So to the vise I go where my bran new unfired boat anchor gets the remaining material clamped up so I can tap the pistol with a block of wood hopefully removing it. After 2 taps the extractor tab falls (yes you are reading this right FALLS off). This is just not acceptable and I realize I bought a really cheap pistol and never expected it to be awesome but common. Items like this just do not belong in this community.

I expected it to be on the junk side but this is just not right. I am fairly certain ill never buy another Chiappa after this. Thank go I am a steal fabricator a have homed the Cylinder guide, remade the rod and tomorrow will TIG weld the extractor.

Not all Chiappa's are created equal. Rhino and the Badger, I have had no issue with. I stayed away from the 1873 because it is i. The same price point as my Deluxe Badger, I found out that they are not made in the same factory and the 1873 is out sourced. I needed to get rid of $200 quick before my wife finds it (don't judge) but only for a split second I consider the 1873 but because of the quality and limitations of the handgun, I decided to go for the folding rifle instead.

You used vise grips on a mostly alloy firearm and now you want to give folks advice on firearms.........

I'm going to side with Fraser on this one. Not that I 'Have never done that'... I likely blocked it out LOL. But I'm not admitting to it...this is certain.

Love too, sweetheart.... I cant be that bad..... If you walked up to me at my fire in the woods I still make you a pot of tea, opinions never get in the way of hospitality.

I took one on a trade while not being stellar i never had an issue with it got maybe 300 rounds out of it so far. I use it to show the basc to my grandkids.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to remind everyone it's pronounced kee-appa. Thank you that is all.

Not in my books. Around these parts, they Chee-appa... You know, first part sounds like cheap...

I wanted to get one of their m1-9mm rifles, but they had comparably bad reviews so I stayed away... Also saw these for sale, would have bought one on impulse if I had the spare cash... Apparently it's a good thing I'm broke...

I have to decline here, it is never a good thing being broke.:)
